UW-Madison offers 18 dairy science courses that undergraduates can take.

2. An internationally recognized faculty.

UW-Madison Department of Dairy Science has 14 faculty members, plus 2 professional academic staff. Many are recognized for their excellence in teaching, research and Extension.

Having cows on campus provides a great opportunity to participate in hands-on learning and research.

The Dairy Science business curriculum includes up to six courses from our U.S. News #12-rated Business School and provides students with the comprehensive management skills necessary to compete in an increasingly business-oriented dairy industry.

Undergraduates can participate in one of the leading US dairy research programs, learning from nutrition, genetics, lactation, reproduction, farm management and milk quality specialists.
